📢 TS Police Recruitment 2026 — Notification Out

TGPRB has issued the detailed recruitment notifications on 29 July 2026 for a total of 7,437 vacancies across the Police, Fire & Emergency, Prisons and Special Protection Force departments, following the press note dated 5 July 2026 (Rc. No. 189/Rect./Rect-1/2026) in which the State Government accorded permission to fill these posts.

Online application dates are not yet announced. The board has stated that the exact dates for submission of online application forms will be intimated in due course through a separate press release at tgprb.in. Candidates should read the full eligibility conditions in the notification for their post before applying.

Exam Pattern

Recruitment for Police Constable is carried out in stages. Candidates must clear each stage to move to the next:

  • Preliminary Written Test (PWT) — 200 objective questions, screening test.
  • Physical Measurement & Physical Efficiency Tests (PMT & PET) — qualifying.
  • Final Written Test (FWT) — 200 objective questions, merit-deciding.
  • Medical Examination & verification.
