Railway Recruitment Information

What is RRB?

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are the boards under the Ministry of Railways that recruit staff for Indian Railways. There are 21 RRBs across the country. They publish recruitment through Centralised Employment Notices (CENs), conduct Computer-Based Tests (CBTs) and release admit cards and results. Railway Recruitment Cells (RRCs) of the zonal railways handle some other recruitment, such as Act Apprentices.

What is RRB NTPC?

RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) is the RRBs' recruitment for non-technical posts. Graduate-level posts include Station Master, Goods Train Manager and senior clerk posts; undergraduate (12th) level posts include Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist. The exact posts and vacancies are listed in each CEN. See the RRB NTPC section.
