The Staff Selection Commission conducts the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level examination for posts such as Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO) in ministries, departments and offices of the Government of India. It is held as a computer-based examination in two tiers.

No. Data Entry Operators take a Skill Test (8,000 or 15,000 key depressions per hour, depending on the department), and LDC/JSA candidates take a Typing Test of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi. Both are qualifying.
