Telangana Police Recruitment 2026 – 7,437 Vacancies

Update (5 July 2026): The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TGPRB / TSLPRB) has issued a press note (Rc. No. 189/Rect./Rect-1/2026) confirming that the State Government has accorded permission to fill 7,437 vacancies by direct recruitment across the Police, Fire & Emergency, Prisons and Special Protection Force departments. Detailed recruitment notifications with dates, qualifications and roster points will be issued shortly.

Post-wise vacancies:

  • Police Constable (Civil) – 3,697
  • Police Constable (AR) – 1,052
  • Police Constable (SARCPL) – 24
  • Police Constable (Driver / Mechanic) PTO – 27
  • Sub Inspector (Civil) – 148
  • Reserve Sub Inspector (AR / TGSP / SARCPL) – 29
  • Assistant Sub Inspector (FPB) – 23
  • Fire & Emergency – Station Fire Officer 39, Fire Fighter 751
  • Prisons & Correctional Services – Deputy Jailor 15, Warder 208
  • Special Protection Force – Sub Inspector 44, Constable 1,380

Selection process: Preliminary Written Test → Physical Measurement & Physical Efficiency Tests (PMT & PET) → Final Written Test → Medical Examination.
