SBI Probationary Officer

State Bank of India recruits Probationary Officers through its own exam, separate from IBPS. Selection has three phases: a Preliminary exam, a Main exam (objective and descriptive) and a final phase of psychometric test, group exercise and interview.

  • Selection: Phase I – Preliminary Examination → Phase II – Main Examination → Phase III – Psychometric Test, Group Exercise & Interview
  • Prelims: 100 questions, 100 marks, 1 hour – English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability
  • Mains: 170 objective questions, 200 marks, 3 hours, plus a descriptive English test

SBI Clerk (Junior Associate – Customer Support & Sales)

State Bank of India recruits Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales), commonly called SBI Clerk, through its own exam. Selection is through a Preliminary exam, a Main exam and a test of the specified local language.

  • Selection: Preliminary Examination → Main Examination → Language Proficiency Test
  • Prelims: 100 questions, 100 marks, 1 hour – English Language, Numerical Ability, Reasoning Ability
  • Mains: 190 objective questions, 200 marks, 2 hours 40 minutes
