The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released Brief Notification No.08/2026 dated 15 September 2026 for Direct Recruitment to the post of Assistant Environmental Engineer in A.P. Pollution Control Board (General Recruitment).

Online applications: 6 October 2026 to 27 October 2026, up to 11:59 PM, through the Commission's website (psc.ap.gov.in).

• Assistant Environmental Engineer, A.P. Pollution Control Board: 40 vacancies — Pay Scale Rs 57,100 – 1,47,760

Vacancies are provisional and subject to variation on confirmation from the concerned department. This Brief Notification does not state an eligibility qualification — Educational Qualification, Age, community-wise breakup and other details will be published in the Detailed Notification, available on or before 6 October 2026 on the Commission's website — the date of the Detailed Notification is the crucial date for all eligibility purposes.

Selection Process: A single-level online (CBRT) examination — no separate Screening Test — followed by a Computer Proficiency Test for qualifying candidates.

• Paper I — General Studies & Mental Ability: 150 questions, 150 minutes, 150 marks
• Paper II — Common Subject (Environmental Science): 150 questions, 150 minutes, 300 marks

Total: 450 marks. Negative marking: 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question, deducted for each wrong answer (G.O.Ms.No.235, Finance Dept.).
