APPSC Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector Recruitment 2026 – Notification No.36/2026

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released Brief Notification No.36/2026 dated 13 October 2026 for Direct Recruitment to the post of Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector in A.P. Transport Service.

Online applications: 6 November 2026 to 26 November 2026, up to 11:59 PM, through the Commission's website (psc.ap.gov.in).

• Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector: 50 — Pay Scale Rs 48,440 – 1,37,220

Total provisional vacancies: 50, subject to variation on confirmation from the concerned department. Age 21–36 years as on 01/07/2026. Physical requirements will be given in the Detailed Notification. Where candidates with 3 years' driving experience are not available, 2 years may be accepted; women holding only an LMV licence must obtain the HTV endorsement within two years of joining.

Educational Qualification (as on the date of the Detailed Notification): Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering, or Diploma in Automobile Engineering; plus a driving licence with at least 3 years' driving experience and a Heavy Transport Vehicle endorsement (conditions in the notification)

Selection Process: The examination is a single-level online (CBRT) examination only — no Screening Test, irrespective of the number of applications.
