EPFO wage ceiling raised from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 a month

The Union Cabinet on 16 September 2026 approved raising the EPFO wage ceiling for mandatory coverage from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 per month, effective 17 September 2026. Over 51 lakh more employees are expected to come under EPF, EPS and EDLI.
