Andhra Pradesh partners CSIR-NGRI for lithium exploration in Kadapa Basin

On 12 August 2026 the Government of Andhra Pradesh signed an agreement with CSIR-NGRI for exploration of lithium and gallium in the Kadapa Basin. The Rs 140 crore project is funded entirely by the National Mineral Exploration Trust and targets critical minerals for emerging industries.
