ZSI identifies new electric ray species in Arabian Sea

Scientists from the Zoological Survey of India described a new electric ray species, Tetronarce ramanamurthyi, also called the Arabian Black Electric Ray, from the southeastern Arabian Sea. It is the first confirmed record of the genus Tetronarce in the northern Indian Ocean.
