Vivek Aggarwal becomes first Indian elected FATF Vice-President

Vivek Aggarwal, Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Culture, was elected Vice-President of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) for the 2026-27 term at the FATF Plenary held 17-19 June 2026, becoming the first Indian to hold the post since India joined FATF in 2010; he formally assumed the role on 1 July 2026.
